Stricter contact restrictions in the corona pandemic are conceivable for Lower Saxony's Prime Minister Stephan Weil.
The SPD politician announced on Monday that regulations should be reached at the Prime Minister's Conference on Tuesday that correspond to the regulations already in force in Lower Saxony.
"However, more extensive contact restrictions are also conceivable."
Hanover - Lower Saxony has already introduced tightened corona measures - these apply from Christmas Eve until January 2nd.
A maximum of 25 people are allowed to come together inside over the holidays - 50 people outside.
Clubs and discos will have to close nationwide during this period regardless of the incidence.
