After 15 years on the board, Richard Hörl has resigned his honorary position at the Forstinning beekeeping association.
He remains an active beekeeper and operator of the nature trail.
Forstinning - Richard Hörl can already be described as the “beekeeping legend” of Forstinning.
He founded the apiary, which has been officially recognized since 2014.
He joined the Forstinning Beekeeping Association in 1994 and was its chairman from 2005 to 2018, then second chairman.
"In fact, he has now given up his position on the board of directors and continues to work as a training apiary operator," writes the club's secretary Christa Obermayer.
At the Christmas party, Richard Hörl was officially bid farewell to the board and thanked him for his work and commitment.
"There is no doubt that the association is in the limelight of the beekeepers in a wide area thanks to its involvement," said Obermayer.
Forstinning: Beekeeping Association grows from 28 to 140 members
During Richard Hörl's term of office, the number of members increased rapidly, from 28 to 140 today, the secretary looks back in a small balance sheet.
The members come from Erding, Isen, Albaching, Hallbergmoos, Aschheim, etc. And: "Richard Hörl became known far beyond the district boundaries." He is still today.
Since 2010, the Forstinning Beekeeping Association has been organizing free courses and training for interested hobby beekeepers and those who want to become one.
The beekeeper regulars table always takes place on the first Friday of the month in the Gasthof Eberherr in Schwaberwegen.
