The federal and state governments are preparing stricter corona measures.
According to the summit resolution, adapted contact restrictions should apply from December 28 - also for vaccinated people.
Berlin - The corona rules in Germany will probably be tightened again shortly before Christmas.
On Tuesday (December 21), the federal and state governments will discuss the specific measures in a summit scheduled at short notice.
It can be assumed that the contact restrictions will be readjusted again.
Parts of the regulations should also apply to unvaccinated people - at least this can be found in a draft resolution that has been published in advance.
Corona summit: Federal and state governments are planning strict contact restrictions
Stricter regulations should continue to apply to unvaccinated people. They are excluded from parts of public life. "Nationwide, access to facilities and events for cultural and leisure activities (cinemas, theaters, restaurants, etc.) as well as retail (exception: shops for daily needs) remains independent of the incidence only for vaccinated and convalescent people (2G)", it says in fer resolution

on Monday afternoon. In addition, the 2GPlus regulation is also possible. Then an additional corona test is needed.
In addition, the federal and state governments apparently want to adhere to the strict contact rules for unvaccinated people.
This means: If an unvaccinated person is present at private meetings, only members of your own household and a maximum of two people from another household are allowed to meet.
In addition, the obligation to test remains in the work area and public transport.
These regulations were already decided at the beginning of December.
Corona summit: From December 28, contact restrictions also planned for vaccinated people
Planned contact restrictions for vaccinated persons are new and therefore central to the paper. Larger meetings should be prevented, said NRW Prime Minister Hendrik Wüst (CDU). "In particular, New Year's Eve celebrations with a large number of people are not responsible in the current situation," says the draft resolution. Therefore, from December 28, 2021, private gatherings of vaccinated and convalescent people should only be allowed with a maximum of ten people.
If a person is unvaccinated at a meeting, the regulations for unvaccinated persons apply.
“The meeting is therefore limited to your own household and a maximum of two people from another household.” This rule “applies to private meetings both indoors and outdoors”.
The previous Corona rules on New Year's Eve also remain in place: contact restrictions, arrival and meeting bans, no sale of fireworks.

At major events, the number of visitors will continue to be limited. The specific design is probably the responsibility of the federal states. Currently, the rules in Bavaria are different from those in North Rhine-Westphalia. No spectators are allowed to watch football matches in Munich, 15,000 in Cologne. Clubs and discos will be closed nationwide. In addition, the federal and state governments want to advise on the vaccination campaign and stimulate bridging aid for companies.
The Federal Government's Expert Council has already requested contact restrictions in the near future.
"According to the mathematical models, an overload of the health system and the restriction of the critical infrastructure can only be contained together with strong contact reductions," says a letter from the 19-member committee.
The federal and state governments are already working on an "emergency plan" to relieve the critical infrastructure.
The following corona summit is scheduled to take place in January.
