Paris: dismantling of a pimping network exploiting teenage girls

Eight men, including a teenager, were indicted Thursday, December 16 in Paris as part of an investigation for aggravated procuring and criminal association, AFP learned Monday, December 20 from a judicial source, confirming information from the Parisian.

According to a source close to the case, the respondents are suspected of having exploited, since August 2020, around twenty young girls, most of them minors, sometimes on the run.

Four of the defendants were placed in pre-trial detention, the others under judicial control, added the judicial source, specifying that the judicial investigation had been opened on September 29.

According to the source familiar with the matter, the network canvassed customers by posting classified ads on specialized sites and rented apartments on the Airbnb online platform, mainly in the 15th arrondissement of the capital.

During the searches, investigators seized 10,000 euros in cash, the estimated average amount of what the network earned each week.
