For 186 passengers in Pakistan, a domestic flight from Islamabad to Karachi will be an acid test.

Three aborted starts and a devastating accident cause rebellion on board.

Islamabad - All good things usually come in threes.

However, passengers on board a plane operated by Pakistan International Airlines experienced the complete opposite.

A flight ended in chaos before it could really take off.

Because the engine apparently went on strike, flight PK301 from December 12th, 2021 at the airport in Islamabad (Pakistan) had to cancel the planned flight to the coastal city of Karachi in the south of the country - three times.

As the Focus reports, citing information from the TV station Seema, crew members recognized the problems with one of the engines shortly after take-off.

Thereupon the plane from Pakistan International Airlines turned around again.

Incident in Islamabad: A320 engine prevents departure to Karachi

The 186 passengers waited patiently for the technicians to declare the problems fixed.

When the Airbus A320 was about to take off again, according to the “Aviation Herald” portal, passengers heard a noise that did not exactly increase confidence in the engine.

The plane turned around again and drove over the tarmac back to the gate.

After another repair, the third attempt was made.

But this time, too, the plane did not take off from Islamabad Airport.

A limit had now been crossed for the passengers on board.

The complaints from passengers were apparently so severe that Pakistan International Airlines decided to open the doors.

Passengers rebel after three canceled take-offs - only six passengers remain on board

Only six passengers decided not to leave the A320.

After a little more than six hours, they actually started the 1,500-kilometer journey from Pakistan's capital Islamabad to Karachi on the Arabian Sea.

According to the Aviation Herald portal, the plane landed there without any problems.

For the rebelling passengers, in addition to the triple breakdown at Islamabad Airport, there could have been another point not to board the flight in the A320 operated by Pakistan International Airlines.

As recently as June 2020, 98 people were killed in an A320 accident in Karachi.

After a failed landing in Karachi, the plane crashed into a residential area on the second attempt.
