Rain, hail and powerful winds: The storm "Carmel" has reached the center of the country Israel today

The storm "Carmel" arrived in the center:

heavy rain and hail began to fall today (Monday) in the center around 15:00 and they were accompanied by strong winds that started already in the early morning.

Heavy snow has been reported in the north on Mount Hermon and in the northern Golan Heights since the morning, and in the Haifa area it rained and hailed during the day.

In the morning, heavy rain fell in the north and center of the country, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning.

Also, strong winds are felt throughout the country and heavy snow is falling on Mount Hermon and in the northern Golan Heights.

However as stated, the peak of the storm is ahead of us with the arrival of the storm in the central area.

Already in the morning, a tree in Netanya collapsed on a 40-year-old man, who was evacuated to the hospital in critical condition.

At the same time, the commander of the Land Forces announced a curfew in the IDF. Meanwhile, the Nature and Parks Authority closed several hiking trails and streams throughout the country. 

Beilinson Hospital updated on the condition of the injured from a tree collapse in Netanya: "His condition is serious, he is unstable, respirated and anesthetized with a severe head injury.

The wounded are in danger of death and the doctors are fighting for his life.

"After his condition was placed in the trauma room, he was transferred for further treatment to the general intensive care unit."
