Nur-Sultan-Sana
The delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic, headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Ayman Susan, arrived today in the Kazakh capital, Nur Sultan, to participate in the work of the seventeenth international meeting of the Astana formula on Syria.
The work of the meeting will take place on the twenty-first and twenty-two of this December, and it includes bilateral and tripartite meetings between the participating delegations representing the guarantor countries Russia, Iran and Turkey, in addition to the member countries and the United Nations delegation, followed by the issuance of a final statement of the meeting.
So far, 16 meetings have been held within the Astana format, two of them in Sochi, Russia, all of which emphasized in their final statements the sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity of Syria.
