Louay Kayali Hall in the Arab gallery celebrated the works of the artists of the Damascus branch of the Syrian Plastic Artists Union, as part of the festive activities of the Syrian Plastic Art Days held by the Directorate of Fine Arts in the Ministry of Culture.
The exhibition, which included more than 40 artworks, including paintings and sculptures, whose works varied in themes, styles, techniques and materials to reflect the diversity of the artistic orientations of the participants and their experiences and expertise from multiple generations.
About the exhibition, plastic artist Maha Mahfouz, head of the Damascus branch of the Syrian Plastic Artists Union, said in a statement to SANA: “This event comes within the endeavors of the artists of the Damascus branch to participate in the celebration of the days of Syrian plastic art and to contribute, through their works and creativity, to enriching the Syrian fine movement.”
Mahfouz considered that the artistic events and exhibitions held in various governorates motivate artists to give more and continue the path of creativity, in addition to being cultural messages from Syria to all the world that reflect the depth of the Syrian person’s belonging to the civilization of his homeland, calling on all expatriate artists to participate in exhibitions and events inside Syria to contribute to restoring the Its construction and renaissance in the artistic and cultural field.
