Elements of the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Damascus countryside seized a diesel tanker in Qudsaya suburb that was stealing diesel during the process of mobilizing citizens through electrical control circuits.
Saer Suleiman Shiha, Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Damascus Countryside, confirmed in a press statement that the tank was confiscated and the violator was referred to the competent authorities to find out who manufactures the circuits and the tanks that use these circuits, indicating that the circuits used are a device placed in the pocket of the driver or worker who fills diesel. The citizen, by pressing the device, manipulates the separation and connection of diesel when filling, and thus steals quantities of diesel.
Shiha explained that, for example, the tanker used to fill 50 liters for the citizen, the amount of theft being 10 liters, and the higher the quantity, the greater the amount of theft, pointing out that earlier this issue was followed up at gas stations and it was finally completed, and now the cheating mechanism has moved to the tanks.
Shiha stressed that the follow-up to this issue is being carried out carefully, and all tankers that use these circuits will be pursued.
