Prime Minister Naftali Bennetta said on Tuesday that all Israelis over 60 and medical staff will be entitled to a fourth dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, after consulting with a panel of experts.

“The citizens of Israel were the first in the world to receive the third dose of the Covid-19 vaccine and we continue to be at the forefront with the fourth dose,”
he said in a press release disseminated by its services, calling on those who meet these criteria to
"go get vaccinated".
Nearly 830 cases of the Omicron variant have already been detected in Israel, of which 480 come from travelers entering Israeli territory, according to the authorities.
More than 4.1 of Israel's 9.3 million people have received three doses of the coronavirus vaccine, with the country currently vaccinating children between the ages of five and 11.
The country announced earlier in the day that it had added the United States and several other countries to its red list of around 50 states to which travel is prohibited.
