A fire broke out in Kwai Chung.
At about 4 in the morning, a unit on the 20th floor of Kwai Chung Building, Kwai Fong Village, reportedly burst into flames. A large amount of smoke poured out of the street, and many residents reported the case.
Sources at the scene stated that it was suspected that someone was trapped in the unit and their lives were in danger.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and opened their throats to fight the blaze and assisted the evacuation of more than 100 residents to a safe location on the ground.
The firefighter also managed to rescue the trapped people.
However, it is understood that the firefighter found a woman in a coma in the unit and was later certified dead by an ambulanceman.
In addition, due to the eagerness to escape, some children did not have time to put on enough clothes and felt cold in the cold night. When the rescuers saw the situation, the children were covered with reflective insulation blankets.
The ambulanceman covered the child with reflective warmth.
