Kurt Rohrmoser used to be a traffic educator for the Ebersberg police.

Today he is the lateral thinker suspended from duty.

He explains himself in an interview.

Ebersberg

- hands on the handlebar, arm signals, shoulder look, turn - Kurt Rohrmoser once taught elementary school students how to behave correctly in traffic as a traffic educator at the Ebersberg police station. A few years later, the 57-year-old made a wrong turn and criticized a police operation on his Telegram channel with drastic words. The police superintendent is then suspended from duty - as one of four police officers who, according to the Ministry of the Interior, have been removed from service in the Bavarian police since the beginning of the pandemic due to lateral thinking. They mutated almost as quickly as the coronavirus itself. From friend and helper to friend and oath.

Since Rohrmoser stopped working, it doesn't seem boring to him.

He continues to post on Telegram corona conspiracy theories and is involved as acting 2nd chairman in the association "Policemen for Enlightenment", a reservoir for lateral thinkers in uniform and corona deniers.

The homepage says that people from the police, military, rescue services, justice and fire services as well as employees of other state institutions are involved in the association with the aim of “maintaining and defending the free democratic basic order”.

Corona: Policeman becomes lateral thinker and travels nationwide to anti-Corona rallies

The club was co-founded by ex-police officer Karl Hilz, who died in November. The 64-year-old was a key player in the Corona protests in Bavaria and traveled to rallies nationwide. He was taken into custody several times. Since Hilz's death, the Weißenburg police officer Bernd Bayerlein (also suspended) has been running the business as interim chairman, Rohrmoser moved up from assessor to second chairman. The association denounces his suspension that he has become “in no time from police superintendent to suicidal Reich citizen”. Several inquiries to the association and the request for a conversation with Rohrmoser remain unanswered, obviously one does not want to comment on the "system press".

In return, Rohrmoser is all the more talkative on the Internet.

In an interview on November 25th, conducted by a Maria Pia de Vos, he describes how his suspension came about.

It is said that he is not on the basis of the free democratic basic order because he criticized a police measure on his Telegram channel.

With this measure, “nothing in the back and front went together with what I have ever learned”.

Policeman from Bavaria becomes lateral thinker: After his suspension, he gives an interview

He had chosen quite clear words in the video because he wanted to "shake up a bit" that what is currently happening in this country no longer has anything to do with democracy and the rule of law. Again and again, the interview is about "them" who would trample on people's fundamental rights. Who is meant by this is not stated. The police leadership, the Bavarian state government, the federal government, the state? At the time of his suspension, Rohrmoser was employed in the traffic reporting point of the Upper Bavaria South Police Headquarters in Rosenheim. According to his information, he was on sick leave because of a "work-related" depression. Then he made an appointment with a medical officer to be reintegrated into the service and was summoned to his boss before that appointment.

This was "visibly nervous", describes Rohrmoser and said: "Now they have suspended you, they are already waiting for the reading."

In retrospect, that was also a good thing, says the passionate martial artist, because his depression can make him “really angry” if he is in a helpless situation.

He was accused of being suicidal.

He should go to a hospital, "everything has already been prepared".

Ex-police officer and lateral thinker suspended from duty - he is banned from visiting colleagues

A spokesman for the police headquarters does not comment on the allegations of Rohrmoser in connection with the circumstances of his suspension for reasons of data protection law. “Basically, however, for welfare reasons, the police social service is involved in a suspension.” For the police union (GdP), the activities of Rohrmoser and his colleagues in the “Police for Enlightenment” association have a clear anti-constitutional thrust. "We have informed the state security in the state criminal investigation office," reports the Schleswig-Holstein GdP state chairman Torsten Jäger, in whose state the dubious association is based. “The activities of this so-called association are terrifying. From our point of view, the actual participation of police officers in these activities must necessarily result in disciplinary and civil service consequences. "

Rohrmoser cannot visit his colleagues in the old office at the moment.

He is banned from entering the house.

This is a "necessary accompanying decree" in the event of suspensions, says Martin Emig, spokesman for the Upper Bavaria South Police Headquarters.

This includes the pronouncement of a general ban on entry in the form of a ban on entry to all service rooms.

This does not apply if the officer appears for a consultation with the police social service, the police chaplaincy or the staff representatives, or if he wants to report a complaint.

Kurt Rohrmoser's lawyer took action against the suspension - without success

Rohrmoser reports in the interview that he took action against the suspension through a lawyer. Without success. The suspension was checked due to the legal objection "and is final," said Emig. Irrespective of legal remedies, however, it is also continuously checked ex officio whether the conditions for a suspension continue to exist. Rohrmoser did not comment on the allegations against him in his ongoing disciplinary proceedings, as he claims, because he could not comment on them. “It makes me so upset that I'm sick for a week, really sick.” He couldn't appear for a hearing either, “because at some point there will come a point where I can no longer control myself”.

Despite his experience, Rohrmoser does not advise his colleagues to quit the job.

“If the whole thing has to be rebuilt at some point, then we need exactly these people who have stayed with it anyway and have tried to bring their conscience to their job.

We need these people for the reconstruction, when something really comes. ”He probably won't take part in it himself.

When it comes to the question of whether there is still a way back to the police service for him, he answers with a counter question: “Do I really want that?

Let me turn back into a tool that supports this system? "
