The Corona Cabinet convenes tonight (Tuesday) to discuss further restrictions in light of the rise in morbidity and fears of the spread of the Omicron strain.

This, after yesterday Prime Minister Naftali Bennett discussed with senior officials of the Ministry of Health the restrictions, and although there was a broad agreement to apply additional restrictions, no decisions were made due to the refusal of the Ministry of Finance to compensate those affected by the restrictions.

During the hearing yesterday, the Ministry of Health proposed limiting gatherings to 100 people indoors and 300 in the open air, in places that operate in high-risk green space with food and without marked places.

In places in the open air with marked places, the ministry advised to limit the gathering to 1,000 people.

In places that operate without a green sign, a gathering of 20 people in a closed space and 50 in an open space will be allowed.

Another option we discussed is the extension of the green mark to trade as well.

A standard green mark will be applied to all stores with an area larger than 150 meters and in stores with an area smaller than 150 meters, the purple mark will be applied.

There is also talk of tightening a green classroom outline, according to which only the vaccinated will be taught in school, and not the vaccinated will learn from home.

Earlier, the government confirmed that attendance in the public and public sector would be reduced to 50%.

Earlier, the Ministry of Health announced that the number of Verified Omicron verified in Israel had doubled today and reached 341.

246 of them, constituting more than 70%, are vaccinated as required.

There is a high suspicion of another 807 cases of exposure to the variant, the results of which have not yet been obtained.

The number of respirators is 41. Since the outbreak of the plague in Israel, 8,232 people have died after being infected in Corona - three of them last week.
