Booster vaccinations against the coronavirus are possible from Wednesday in Schleswig-Holstein after three months.
The country is thus following a corresponding recommendation from the Standing Vaccination Commission (Stiko), as the Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday evening in Kiel.
The aim is better protection against serious diseases caused by Omikron and a reduced transmission of the variant.
Berlin - The booster vaccination is possible in the 26 vaccination centers in the country by booking an appointment on www.impfen-sh.de as well as during the mobile vaccination campaigns, it said.
Booster vaccinations are offered from the age of 18.
First and second vaccinations are possible from the age of 12, as part of the children's vaccination appointments from 5 years.
