The north is doing well when it comes to vaccinations and corona infections in a national comparison.
Because of the impending omicron wave, the rules are also to be tightened in the north.
How long it will take is not clear.
Kiel - Because of the spreading omicron variant of the corona virus, people in Schleswig-Holstein have to adjust to stricter rules from December 28th.
For example, major national events should take place without an audience, said Prime Minister Daniel Günther (CDU) on Tuesday following a federal-state meeting.
This applies to games in the Bundesliga.

From December 28th, only a maximum of ten people will be allowed to meet privately.
If an unvaccinated person is present, a household may only meet with two people from another household.
Children up to 14 years are excluded.
"I ask for your understanding that we have to make these decisions this way." That is not easy, said Günther.
"I also expressly hope that we will talk about very temporary restrictions that do not have to last as long as possible."
Finance Minister Monika Heinold (Greens) emphasized the importance of continuing the vaccination campaign.
Vaccination is still the key to success.
Schleswig-Holstein is well positioned and able to readjust at any time.
Health Minister Heiner Garg (FDP) pointed out the possibility of getting vaccinated over the holidays.
Some vaccination centers are also open on Christmas Day and New Year's Eve from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Dates for this can be booked from Thursday (23rd).
"I kindly ask the people of Schleswig-Holstein to take this opportunity too." Between the years, more than 7,000 appointments can still be booked.
According to Gargs, there are 59 confirmed Omikron cases in Schleswig-Holstein as of Monday evening.

According to Günther, the minister-presidents want to meet next on January 7th to discuss further measures.
