The State Attorney's Office has decided to close the investigation file opened against the road engineer Yuri Borochov in the Netivei Israel case.
A letter sent to Borchov on behalf of the Economic Department of the State Attorney's Office states that the deputy director of the department, Dr. Maor Even Chen, reached the decision "after examining the evidence."
In November 2015, the Department of Public Corruption Investigation at the Blade 433 Economic Unit arrested 18 suspects, including Borchov, on suspicion of creating a mechanism for taking public funds by promoting and employing external suppliers and approving illegal tenders for Netivei Israel projects.
The public corruption case was first called "242" and in which former senior officials in Yisrael Beiteinu were arrested.
Among the detainees were Alex Viznitzer, former chairman of Nati and an associate of Minister Avigdor Lieberman, former MK Michael Gorlovsky and Sima Levy, daughter of former minister David Levy. Levy served as deputy attorney general at Netivei Israel, and was suspected As a partner in bribery and fraud that took place in the company.
Other Netivei Israel employees arrested as part of the affair: former Netivei Israel CEO Shai Bers (suspected of fraud and breach of trust and theft by a public employee), Shimon Ben David, Micha Kopilovsky, Eitan Eidelman (suspected of fraud and breach of trust, bribery and other offenses), Yossi Kurzwald .
