From Wednesday there will be no more Biontech for all Munich residents over 30, but Moderna: The reason is the limited delivery quantities.

Munich - The limited delivery quantities of the corona vaccine from Biontech are also forcing the city of Munich to switch.

According to the health department, from Wednesday only Moderna will be used for initial and booster vaccinations for those over 30 years of age.

Pregnant and breastfeeding women are excluded.

Biontech is used for the second vaccinations once the vaccination cycle has started.

People under the age of 30 get Biontech, but can also choose Moderna if they so wish.

Corona news from Munich: Children between five and eleven years can be vaccinated in the Gasteig

For a vaccination in one of the four branch offices on Theresienwiese, Marienplatz, in the Pasing Arcaden and in the district administration department, an appointment must be made via BayIMCO (www.impfzentren.bayern). This is not absolutely necessary at the Riem Vaccination Center, but it is recommended. It is not possible to make an appointment for the mobile vaccination campaigns. However, prior registration in BayIMCO is desirable in order to speed up the process on site.

Children between the ages of five and eleven can be vaccinated in the Gasteig.

The vaccination there takes place with a specially dosed children's vaccine from Biontech.

Either the Riem vaccination center or the four branch offices are available for people aged twelve and over.

In addition to the offer in Gasteig, the city will offer vaccinations at primary schools on request after the Christmas holidays from around mid / end of January.
