Italy recorded 146 deaths and 36,293 new infections with the Corona virus in the past 24 hours.
Reuters quoted Italian Health Ministry data as saying that the total number of deaths in the country amounted to 136,077, while the total number of infections has reached 5.5 million since the start of the pandemic.
Italy still ranks second in terms of the number of deaths in Europe and ninth in the world.
