Le Shan Tang Liang Kuan Ju School (branch school) participated in the "Dream Enlightenment Project" last year and established the Dreams, Let's Go! group.

This group consists of ten members from the fifth grade, and the goal is to hold an art exhibition.

But after all, it's just a group of elementary school students, who don't even know what the art exhibition is about, let alone planning and arranging it?

Use Virtual Tour to visit the museum

The teacher in charge first led the students to visit different museums through an online Virtual Tour, for example: The J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles, the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

How can you visit a museum during the epidemic? Of course, you can't go to a foreign country in person, but through the online Virtual Tour, everyone can go to different exhibition halls and enjoy different works at will.

Secondly, the teacher in charge went to Li Tung Street in Central District to enjoy art exhibitions and shoot short films for students to watch.

And for some special works of art, such as using a mallet to hit the glass to "paint" human faces, stacking many bicycles together into installation art, etc., the teacher will play a short film for the group members to watch.

The purpose is to allow students to sit at home and be able to see different kinds of works of art.

After some discussion, the students finally decided on the topic, which is to use emoji to make a large collage.

During the epidemic, both adults and children will stay at home for a long time, and everyone's mood may be affected; so the team members want to give everyone a chance to share their emotions.

The master draws emojis representing one's own mood on paper, and then puts these emojis together to form a work of art.

The whole process cannot be done overnight.

The group members first promoted the activities to the students of the school through the central broadcast, and then collected the works.

Then scan the collected emoji, and then use computer software to remove the background and turn it into a circular pattern.

The seemingly easy process, for fifth grade students, takes a while to learn before they can become proficient. The final process is to collage patterns into works.

Finally saw the finished product

Gathering everyone's strength, the banner is finally available! Looking at the finished products that I have completed one by one, I feel unspeakable excitement! Thinking back to the work of the past few months, everyone talked about it, among them The pain and happiness.

Some team members feel that asking the principal and teachers to draw emoji is the most "difficult" process, and some team members feel that choosing the collected emoji is the most "difficult"...

In any case, the experience of the past year has opened eyes and benefited the members of Dreams, Let's go! For details of the event, please click the following link: https://www.collaction.hk/project/story/1567
