The Herrsching cultural association last invited to an extraordinary Christmas concert in front of the Kurparkschlösschen: Opera singer and music teacher Teresa Boning performed with 20 three to six year olds.
Rie accompanied Kimura on the piano.
Herrsching - Little by little, the square in front of the castle was filled with spectators, while parents collected their Christmas singers who were raging through the park. One after the other climbed the little wall next to the castle stairs, behind the children the Christmas lights went on. Boning raised his arms - and around 40 parents, grandmas and grandpas, siblings and other interested people became very quiet. 20 pairs of eyes fixed the 33-year-old music teacher in a concentrated manner, and at the signal, lovely children's voices rose to "snowflakes, white skirts".
Choreography included: the singers applauded enthusiastically during the chorus and threw a fictional snowball into the crowd. Depending on their mood, a child bobbed their feet to the beat, turned their upper body from right to left and back, or picked up stones. One of the protagonists lay on his back to attract the attention of the audience and beat his boots rhythmically together.
Theodor sang along fervently and looked around curiously. The three-year-old discovered his grandmother, jumped off the stage and threw himself into her arms, only to set the tone again a short time later between the singers. Theodor is the older of Boning's offspring. His sister Mathilda (2) had saved herself in Mama's arms after the first play. The thought of children singing came to the mother of two because there was no longer any singing in kindergarten due to the risk of infection. “Singing is good for the psyche,” says the teacher. She decided to do something for the children and turned to the cultural association with the idea. There she ran into open doors not only at the vice-chairwoman Catharina Geiselhart, who hung up posters in the four kindergartens. The offer was fully booked within two days.
Since November the children have met every Monday in the large castle hall.
Three-year-old friends Viola and Carlotta were enthusiastic about the game.
So enthusiastic that Viola confessed to her papa Dieter Held: “I'd rather sing than go to kindergarten.” Carlotta's mother Kristine Resch was also grateful to the cultural association.
“This allows the children to experience community again.” And because it was so nice, there will be children's singing again in January, announced Boning.
"If the Corona situation allows it." More information is available at www.kulturverein-herrsching.de.
