The new phase of green homes will start accepting applications from the third quarter to the fourth quarter of next year, and the property selection will begin as early as the end of next year.
It is understood that the Housing Authority has reduced the number of smaller units in this phase of the Green Housing Project, including Ko Wang Court in Yau Tong and Kam Pak Court in Ma On Shan.
Among them, 19% of the units in Ko Wang Court in Yau Tong belong to the smallest category, namely 185 to 223 square feet, and 38% of the units are 278 to 333 square feet.
In Kam Pak Court, Ma On Shan, 8% of the units are 184 to 185 square feet, and 45% of the units are 278 to 288 square feet, which means that more than half of the units are smaller than 300 square feet.
And in Ching Tao Court, Fanling, half of the units are smaller than 290 square feet.
Transfer restrictions
It is reported that the Housing Authority intends to tighten the resale restrictions for the new phase of green homes, which is the same as the approach of HOS 2022.
From the 6th year after purchasing the unit, the buyer can resell the unit to the second-class buyer of green form or white house without premium, which is two years longer than before.
As for buyers who wish to sell in the free market after a premium, it must take 15 years, which is more than the 10 years previously restricted.

Green homes are only available to holders of the Green Form. According to the current requirements of the Housing Authority, except for public housing tenants of the Housing Authority and Type A rental housing estates under the Housing Association to live outdoors, they hold houses that have a valid "Guarantee" issued by the Housing Department Staff of the Department's Building Services Assistant grade and beneficiaries of the Elderly Rent Allowance Scheme can also apply.
Those who hold a valid "Green Form Eligibility Certificate" issued by the Housing Department or Urban Renewal Authority are also eligible to apply.

Similarly, tenants of Type B rental housing estates, those who have been allocated rental units through the "Express Type A Rental Unit Allocation Scheme" of the Housing Association and within 3 years from the effective date of their rental housing unit leases, may be provided on a monthly basis. Residents who are in the form of a quasi-residence permit, are not allowed to apply for transitional temporary rental housing units.
Building order
It is understood that the new phase of Green Homes will give priority to family applicants affected by the Shek Lei Interim Housing Demolition Project, followed by green form family applicants with "elderly households". The Housing Authority has reserved 1,400 quotas.
Subsequently, other family applicants, one-person applicants affected by the public housing clearance plan announced by the Housing Authority, and finally one-person applicants.
The Housing Authority plans to reserve 500 units at the same time for one-person green form applicants.
Application Notes
The Housing Authority intends to follow the past application procedures. Applicants can indicate their consent to retain the new phase of green home ownership when submitting the HOS 2022 application.
The application fee is planned at $250, and the Housing Authority accepts both paper and online applications.
