The young boxer Lisa Freissler from Karlsfeld can be proud: She finished second in the German championship.
Karlsfeld - It wasn't enough for a big triumph, but Lisa Freissler can still be very proud: The 14-year-old Karlsfeldwoman became German vice champion in boxing in her age group U15 in Lindow (Brandenburg) on Tuesday evening.
After the semifinals, Lisa threw up her arms overjoyed.
She had just won against Marina Siewert from Dortmund and made it to the finals.
The final battle against Savina Sennewald from Weimar the next day was an extremely close affair.
In the end, the judges decided against Lisa, who started for SV Günding, which her trainer Mario Stanislav from the Dachau boxing school did not want to make clear.
Ultimately, however, he and his protégé had to bow to the arbitration award.
Lisa had top support in Lindow.
Not only mother Katja and papa Martin cheered them on in the two fights, but also little Leo, Lisa's five-year-old brother.
Lisa had qualified as Bavarian champion for the DM - and somehow not.
At the Bavarian title fights in Neuendettelsau, the young Karlsfeld woman won the final fight, but because her opponent had already outgrown the U15, the title is not officially valid.
Lisa is in ninth grade at the Dachau Montessori School.
The school has already congratulated her on her great performance in Lindow.
What about the parents?
"We could be bursting with pride," says mother Katja Freissler.
But despite all the enthusiasm, there is of course always a little worry that “nothing will happen to Lisa while boxing”.
