The Nigerian army announced the killing of about 100 terrorists from the “ISIS” organization during its operations last week in northeastern Nigeria.
AFP quoted a military official as saying today that the air operations carried out by Air Force planes targeting terrorist camps in the areas of Arena Soro, Arena Seki and Arena Mamasalachi of the Marti region near Lake Chad led to the death of more than 100 of them.
The official explained that the targeting of these camps came after a large number of terrorists resorted to them following the bombing carried out by the army a few days ago on those towns controlled by ISIS.
Nigeria is witnessing intense terrorist operations and attacks by members of the terrorist organization "ISIS" and the Boko Haram terrorist group in the north-east of the country, which since 2009 has led to the deaths of about 36,000 people and the displacement of two million people.
