The
new Corona variant
is on the
advance.
B.1.1.529 ("Omicron")
is also spreading rapidly on the British Isles.
Therefore, the federal government has classified the
United Kingdom of Great Britain
and
Northern Ireland
as another
virus variant
area.
Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Zimbabwe and South Africa also count
as virus variant areas
.
Entry from virus variant areas: A PCR test is essential
People who
enter Bavaria
and who have been in a virus variant area at any time in the ten days prior to entry are obliged to take
a PCR test upon entry or immediately after entry
. In the district of Freising, the result can be sent by email to
einreise@kreis-fs.de
.
Relevant people who arrive in the Freising district can have the
necessary PCR test carried out free of charge in the test center at the Luitpold facility in Freising
.
A separate time slot is available in the test center for this every day from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
When registering on this website, you can specify "Returning travelers from virus variant area" as the test reason and book an appointment.
Appropriate receipts such as hotel bills or flight tickets must be submitted as proof of the stay.
Entry from virus variant areas: A 14-day quarantine is mandatory
In addition,
travelers
from a corresponding virus variant area and people who have had contact with someone who
tested
positive for the Omikron variant
generally have to quarantine for 14 days - this also applies to those who have been vaccinated and
those who have recovered . The quarantine can
not be
shortened
prematurely
. All these people must also have a PCR test carried out on days 5 and 13 after entry.
The
test result
must be submitted to the district administrative authority
responsible for your place of residence or other place of residence
no later than
48 hours
after entry
.
This tightening has so far only applied to entries from South Africa and from the countries bordering on South Africa.
It has now been extended to all virus variant areas, including those arriving from Great Britain.
