Two proposals for an order in the Knesset plenum managed to embarrass the coalition factions today (Wednesday).

The RAAM faction voted contrary to coalition discipline and supported the joint list proposal that the settlement enterprise is an “obstacle to peace and war crime.” On the other hand, the right-wing faction voted against the opposition proposal to regulate all young settlement.

The joint list proposal, submitted by MK Ahmad Tibi, states that "the settlement enterprise is an obstacle to peace and war crime and that the desired solution is to evacuate the settlements, end the occupation and establish a Palestinian state." This proposal was supported by nine members and another 98 Kim objected. Ra'am's support for the joint proposal comes after Ra'am's chairman, Mansour Abbas, said last night that "the State of Israel was founded as a Jewish state and will remain so."

On the other hand, MK Ophir Akunis presented the summary proposal of the Likud, Religious Zionist and Shas factions, according to which the Knesset requires the Prime Minister to regulate all young settlement in a government decision as he undertook without delay.

These factions also demanded that the yeshiva in Chumash be evacuated and arranged.

This proposal was supported by 50 MKs against 59 who opposed, and among them, as mentioned, members of the right-wing faction.

At the end of the discussion, MK Ram Ben-Barak presented the summary proposal on behalf of the coalition factions with the exception of RAAM, according to which there will be a discussion on the issue in the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, "so we can see how we can take care of residents in Judea and Samaria."

Subsequently, MK Ben Barak announced that within a month the government would reach the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee for discussion and consideration on this issue, and therefore the coalition withdrew its summary proposal.

MK Orit Struck said at the beginning of the debate: "When I stand here today to talk about the young settlement in Judea and Samaria, I do not stand alone.

Along with me stand here on the podium about 25,000 men, women and many children, about 12,000 children who are detainees of the series.

"And since they are detained in the series, they are also deprived of the most basic rights that can be - the right to receive electricity and water and public transportation and a normal road and sidewalks and the Internet."

The chairman of RAAM @abbas,, in contrast to the members of the coalition, voted in favor of the law of @Ahmad_tibi which supports the freezing of the young settlement.

"They are deprived of all these rights even though Prime Minister Naftali Bennett promised them that he would regulate the young settlement in Judea and Samaria, at the first cabinet meeting headed by him," MK Struck concluded.

After the vote in the plenum, MK Rotman of the Religious Zionist faction said: "RAAM voted in favor of the joint proposal against the young settlement. Coalition discipline did not deter them. But Nir Auerbach, Edith Silman, Sharan Hashakel, Zvi Hauser and Michal Shir And with new hope, they voted for the chair and against the proposal to regulate the young settlement. "
