After careful tracking and prosecution, the elements of the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in the city of al-Tal in the countryside of Damascus managed today to seize another tank, less than 24 hours after seizing the first tank that cheated with a remote control circuit.
And the Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Saer Suleiman Shiha, said in a press statement that after seizing the first tank yesterday, the focus was on knowing who manufactures, installs and uses these circuits, after they moved from gas stations to distribution tanks of heating oil, and integrated information was collected about many names. Consumer protection elements will monitor and control it.
Shiha revealed that the tanker was seized in the city of Al-Tal by a diesel distributor, in violation of the tampering of the quantity of diesel by placing hidden electronic circuits that are difficult to detect in order to cheat by measure for trading in diesel, as the quantity was estimated at 589 liters of heating oil taken from the allocations of a monastery in Sednaya.
The Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection stressed that violators will not be tolerated and dealt with in accordance with the provisions of Legislative Decree No. 8 of 2021.
