The District Court in Nazareth will continue today (Wednesday) the testimony of retired Major General Yaron Schur, from the Forensic Laboratory - as part of the testimony phase of Roman Zadorov's retrial. Zadorov's Salamander.
The testimony of the expert from the forensic laboratory is considered critical to the prosecution.
In the first trial, his testimony was received that the imprint of Zadorov's Salamander "shoe was found on the arena on top of Rada's trousers.
However, during the appeals heard in the Supreme Court, doubts arose as to the reliability of the shoe imprint.
The dramatic testimony from yesterday of a shoe-stamping expert
The scope of Schur's testimony remains vague, but Zadorov admitted that on the day of the murder he wore the "Salamander" shoes, which are very rare.
According to the prosecution, he cleaned the shoes with bleach after the murder and left no traces of Rada's blood on them.
On the other hand, the defense brought in the trial of Zadorov a former expert from the United States, who claimed that there was not enough in the shoe imprint to determine that it belonged to Zadorov.
At yesterday's hearing, Ilana Rada asked the expert why he cut some of her daughter's pants, and the prosecutor's office said: "The pants were cut at the bottom, which has no trace of it."
She then told the media: "The truth is starting to float. At last the judges are seeing with a just, honest and fair eye the things we have been shouting for 15 years."
