Several hundred people met around the Munich university district on Ludwigstrasse on Wednesday evening to “go for a walk”.
The police are on site with around 500 emergency services.

Corona demo in Munich: KVR prohibited demonstration - organizer withdrew registration
While opponents of the corona measures will take to the streets on Monday, especially in eastern Germany, the people of Munich probably chose Wednesday to demonstrate. Last Wednesday, numerous so-called lateral thinkers were already out and about on Ludwigstrasse in Maxvorstadt. For today, Wednesday, December 22nd, another demonstration on the subject of "For a non-discriminatory society without compulsory vaccinations" was announced according to the KVR. But since the participants wanted to go through the city, there was no permission. As an alternative, the Theresienwiese was in the room. But only 2000 people were allowed to take part there. Therefore the registration was withdrawn on Tuesday.
Despite this, numerous people got together via social networks and chat groups and set off without registering.
Almost 3,000 opponents of the corona measures are said to be on the way.
The police even estimate there could be 5,000 participants.
According to the police, around 500 officers tried to prevent the so-called walks on Ludwigstrasse and in the district around Siegestor and the university.
The car traffic on Ludwigstrasse was temporarily stopped because the demonstrators were walking on the lane, said a police spokeswoman.

While numerous people are demonstrating against the Corona measures at one end of Ludwigstrasse, more than 150 people have gathered at Odeonsplatz for a rally by a youth organization of the Greens and other groups, reports the
evening newspaper
.
The motto of the campaign is “solidarity instead of oath”.
At the event, among other things, the victims of the corona pandemic should be remembered.
Even at the beginning, however, counter-demonstrators are said to have disturbed the speakers, it continues.
