Unvaccinated students need a negative corona test during the holidays in order to be able to travel by bus and train.

A student ID is sufficient during school days.

Munich - The 3G rule on buses and trains also applies to children aged six and over during the Christmas holidays. In the event of a control, it was sufficient for them to show their student ID. But that will no longer work from December 24th. The reason is a formulation in the Infection Protection Act. "We would like to change that," said Bavaria's Minister of Health Klaus Holetschek (CSU) on Tuesday (December 21). This is reported by

But the state government cannot do anything because the law breaks all regulations at the state level.

According to the law, unvaccinated schoolchildren need a daily negative corona test during the holidays in order to be able to use local or long-distance transport.

The student ID card is only valid as proof during school hours because the children are then regularly tested for the coronavirus anyway.

Parents are upset about the scheme. "I really don't have any logic behind it," says Martina W. in an interview with

. The woman from Nuremberg is the mother of an eight-year-old boy. Because she doesn't have a car, she has to rely on public transport, the report says. But for every trip, no matter how small, your son now needs a negative corona smear during the holiday season.

"Here on Regensburger Strasse near us, you can easily stand for an hour for a test," continues the mother.

She therefore has to leave her eight-year-old child at home for smaller purchases and errands.

The date for the vaccination of her son is not due until January, there was no earlier one.

Martina W. would have liked a little more lead time.

"It is now the case that I will soon be able to hardly do anything with my child," she says annoyed.
