Vacancies in primary schools have decreased slightly

According to the vacancy reference data released by the Education Bureau, as of the end of November this year, there were a total of 17,735 vacancies in public primary schools.

In the previous data as of the end of October, the number was 17,887, and the overall number of vacancies decreased by 152.

Comparing the data in October, the areas with the most serious vacancies for Primary One places at that time were: Sha Tin, Sai Kung, Yuen Long, Tuen Mun, and Kowloon City.

One month later, the top five regions remained the same, but the rankings changed. The regions with the most severe vacancies for Primary One places at the end of November were: Sai Kung, Yuen Long, Kowloon City, Tuen Mun, and Sha Tin.

Secondary school vacancies increase

The drop-out situation in secondary schools is a cause for concern. The number of drop-outs in the previous school year of many subsidies and direct subsidies reached triple digits.
