Damascus-SANA
In the midst of a large public presence, the Cathedral of Our Lady of El Nayah for the Melkite Greek Catholics in Damascus held this evening a Christmas recital entitled “We Prostrate to Your Birth,” which was revived by Father Peter Hanna, accompanied by pianist Fadi Saadeh, on the occasion of Christmas and New Year.
The recital included a variety of Christmas chants that won the admiration of the attendees, in addition to musical pieces that called for spreading love and peace and the return of security and stability to the homeland, followed by a carnival tour to scout the cathedral parish in the region, during which the members of the scouts presented a group of plays, rhythms and Christmas music pieces.
The Recital, Patriarch of Antioch and all the East of the Melkite Greek Catholics, Youssef Al-Absi, and a number of artists, Christian clergy, and cultural and social events attended.
