Daraa-Sana
In order to enhance the presence of the Arabic language in the educational process and to celebrate its international day, a reading and reading hall was opened at the Martyr Ismail Abu Nabout School for Girls in Daraa.
The hall contains a collection of cultural books, novels and dictionaries that contribute to strengthening the Arabic language for female students.
Head of Curricula Department in Daraa Education Directorate, Areej Al-Miqdad, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the opening of the reading room at the Martyr Abu Nabout School aims to bring female students back to the language of Dhad and reduce dependence on social media.
The Arabic language instructor, Fawaz Abazid, pointed out that Arabic is the language of literature, thought, science and the Noble Qur’an, and celebrating it is a celebration of our history and roots, stressing the Directorate of Education’s endeavor to develop students’ scientific, literary and intellectual culture.
Zuhair Abu Hamed, the Arabic language teacher at the school, saw that opening a reading room encourages female students to read because the book is the first scientific source and limits the dissemination of misconceptions and cultures among the generation via the Internet.
