Lunch care at the Zolling elementary school has to become more expensive.

That was the result of an examination by the district office.

Zolling

- In the Zollinger school association meeting on Monday, the association members decided to increase the fees for the use of lunchtime care at the local elementary school.

The former fee statute was from 2014 and therefore no longer up to date.

Nevertheless, efforts have been made to increase the fees in a humane manner.

(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

The lunchtime care for the children of the Zolling elementary school will be more expensive in the future.

In the course of an audit by the Freising District Office it was found that the deficit in the area of lunch care is significantly higher than the income from fees and subsidies combined.

According to the district authority, the rising personnel costs are no longer in proportion to the outdated fee statutes from 2014.

Therefore, an increase of around 20 percent was set.

Thus, looking after a child until 2 p.m. from September 2022 will cost 53 instead of 44 euros for four to five days a week, up to three days per week will cost 36 instead of 30 euros from the coming school year.

In the case of childcare until 4 p.m. on four or five days of the week, the parents will be charged 106 euros per month instead of the previous 88 euros from September, on up to three days of the week it will be 72 instead of 60 euros per month according to the new fee statute.

Relief for refugee families

The fees for lunch will also be adjusted accordingly: instead of the previous 47 euros for four to five lunches per week, parents will in future pay 57 euros per month.

For three meals a week, 39 instead of 32 euros are due.

The members of the school association voted unanimously in favor of the cost adjustment.

Langenbach's mayor Susanne Hoyer advocated that refugee families should not have to pay the fees and thus be financially relieved.

Helmut Priller was open to this suggestion and announced that he would find out more from the District Office.
