Boosted people in Bavaria are exempt from the obligation to test as part of 2G-plus.
But one of the vaccines has disadvantages.
That causes displeasure.
Munich - Since December 15, the regulation in the Free State has been in force that boosted people at 2G-plus no longer have to present a test if they want to visit certain facilities.
For example in cinemas, zoos or swimming pools.
The only requirement: The third vaccination must have been 14 days ago so that the test is no longer required for those who have been vaccinated and those who have recovered.
But now there are problems with a vaccine.
While it is standard for the mRNA vaccines from Biontech and Moderna to receive two syringes for basic immunization, only one dose is sufficient for the one from Johnson & Johnson (trade name Janssen).
In conclusion, everyone with the second vaccination should be considered boosted.
But: none.
Bavaria: Booster for Johnson & Johnson vaccinated people - second injection is only optimization of vaccination protection
Because according to the permanent vaccination commission (Stiko), the second injection after four weeks is nothing more than an "optimization of vaccination protection" - in other words, not a booster. Specifically, the recommendation says: “With the COVID-19 Vaccine Janssen, according to the approval, one vaccine dose is sufficient for the basic immunization. However, the STIKO recommends optimizing the vaccination protection through an additional dose of mRNA vaccine. ”According to a report by
nordbayern.de
, the Bavarian Ministry of Health relies on this recommendation
.
Thus, every Johnson & Johnson vaccinated person would have to receive a third vaccination in order to be considered boosted.
Of course, this causes displeasure among those affected.
As
reported by

, a Franconian had been vaccinated with the vaccine in the summer.
"It was said to vaccinate as soon as possible, there are three safe vaccines," she explains.
"The fact that I got Johnson & Johnson was beyond my discretion and is now flying around my ears."
Bavaria: Booster for Johnson & Johnson vaccinated people only after the second vaccination
With just one dose, according to the report, she felt adequately protected, but the emergence of the mutations and the prevailing discussion about them made her think about a refresher. "Instead of getting the booster vaccination in January, which I assumed, I will only have the second vaccination." In addition, she feels badly informed and taken by surprise.
It also becomes a big problem because most people don't know exactly what to do next.
As
reported by
nordbayern.de
, many entrepreneurs in the leisure sector are confused.
The local health authorities have given them contradicting requirements regarding the controls of Johnson & Johnson vaccinated people.
A second injection is sometimes sufficient and sometimes not.
Bavaria: The booster is only possible six months after the second vaccination
In the case of the Franconian, the booster would not be ready until the summer - unless the rules change.
Until then, they have to continue testing.
