The protests of some citizens made headlines, but planning for the major project continues.
And: Even if raw material prices explode, things are looking good financially.
Münsing - At its last meeting this year, the Münsing municipal council was able to award three contracts for the construction of the new community center.
While there were strong cost increases a few months ago, mainly due to the exploding raw material prices, these have now been kept within limits compared to the cost calculation.
City council decides: This is how it will continue with the Münsing community
Because the community center with the town hall needs a reasonable internet connection, fiber optic cables should be laid into the house.
Telekom, which was the only company to submit an offer, charges 56,800 euros for it.
According to the head of the building authority, Stephan Lanzinger, the community receives 80 percent reimbursement from funding programs, leaving a contribution of a good 11,000 euros.
Instead of the gross costs of 91,000 euros calculated in 2020, the elevator for the community center will now amount to 104,000 euros gross.
The Orba-Lift company from Reichenbach in Vogtland was the cheaper of two bidders.
She will install the elevator.
Larger manufacturers usually charge a lot of money for regular maintenance, explained Lanzinger.
That is why they decided on a medium-sized company, where this is not the case.
Raw material prices explode: Costs for community center in Münsing still almost within limits
The important carpentry trade was awarded to the Fleischmann Holzbau company in Kulmbach for 1.5 million euros gross instead of the planned 1.33 million euros.
The twelve percent increase in costs can be attributed to the high wood prices, said Lanzinger.
Nevertheless, the community "got away with it with a black eye".
For the time being, it is about the wooden structure of the shell and the roof.
The facade, which is to have a kind of wooden curtain, will later be tendered separately, says Lanzinger.
As Second Mayor Josef Strobl (Münsing's voter group) researched, Fleischmann largely uses regional wood.
Carpenter Thomas Schurz (CSU) said he knew the company as a specialist in complex and unusual constructions.
