The prosecutor's office decided today (Thursday) not to file an indictment for the deadly crimes against Roni Shumov, 25, who is suspected of murdering his 18-year-old partner in an apartment in Be'er Sheva last month, due to lack of evidence.
At the family home of the 18-year-old in Netanya, they were shocked by the prosecutor's decision not to accuse her partner Roni Shomov of her murder.
Her body was found in Shumov's apartment in Be'er Sheva a month and a half ago and he was arrested on suspicion of murdering her.
Today it was decided not to file an indictment against him at all for her death.
Father S. said: "I am really disappointed with the results. We are shocked. We are very disappointed with everything that happened. The prosecutor's office did not explain anything to us. It just fell on us. They did not explain anything to us. I hope they will explain to us later. "I had to sit with family members. The pain is huge, it's like a reunion."
Y., the young woman's brother-in-law, said: "They did not give the family the slightest knowledge. No cause of death, no proceedings and investigative materials. Absolutely nothing. We hear everything from the media. Critical details But unfortunately this is a negligent investigation team that sins against his work and destiny. No evidence was collected from the mother, who was the only one in contact with the suspect. "I have no idea if they opened it at this time. I am ashamed of the way in which such a case is being investigated and even more so of the way in which the victim's family is being treated. Unfortunately, human life in general and women's lives in particular are worthless in the country."

Shomov's lawyer, Alon Erez, welcomed the court's decision: "In fact, today the suspicion of the murder case collapsed, as I said from day one, no evidence was found against my client for committing the offense attributed to him, as I claimed from the first day of arrest."
He said the prosecution understood that there was insufficient evidence to formulate the offense of manslaughter and therefore they did not request an extension of detention. "But the prosecution claims to have stopped evidence of the offense of assaulting a spouse. Therefore, the indictment filed against him today and we will present this indictment to the court, which would have been better not filed, and days will tell. As for the murder, no evidence was found. Of the 42 days was a completely false arrest. "The indictment was filed against him. He claims that as soon as he found her unconscious, he immediately called MDA, and performed the resuscitation operations ordered on him."
Shumov was detained for more than 40 days but the results of the autopsy did not prove the criminal suspicions.
Shumov has a long history of charges, and this time too the findings of the investigation revealed that there is another case of suspicion of violence against his former partner, not the deceased.
In light of this, it was decided to file an indictment against him for assault and his detention was extended until Tuesday.

"My sister wanted to go to Be'er Sheva with him a few days before the murder, and my mother locked her in the house," the young woman's sister repeated.
"He sat for six months because of violence against her. Only a month ago he was released."
According to her, her sister called the police to the family home in Netanya.
"The officer said she's over 18 and can go wherever she wants," the nurse says.
"She went to him in Be'er Sheva and it ended in murder. The policeman could have prevented this murder. We knew it would end badly. We tried to do everything. My mother locked her in the house. It did not help."
