This year's annual Autumn Fair was distinguished by the high level of participating works, in addition to the increase in the number of participating artists and paintings from several generations, as their works came in a variety of styles, techniques and artistic contents.

The exhibition, whose works adorned the space of Khan Asaad Pasha in Old Damascus, was part of the festive activities of the Syrian Plastic Art Days held by the Directorate of Fine Arts in the Ministry of Culture.

The exhibition included 106 artworks, including sculpture, oil painting, and graphics, to constitute an opportunity for visitors to see the latest productions of Syrian plastic artists, whose topics varied between women, nature, silent nature, portraiture, perspective and other topics.

The Minister of Culture, Dr. Lubana Mushawah, said in a statement to reporters: “This year’s exhibition is distinguished by all standards and measures, as it includes an increase in the number of participating artists and the displayed paintings, and the most beautiful is the high level of the participating works, which confirms that Syrian plastic art is developing at a rapid pace,” stressing that art in Syria He is at the forefront of his peers in the Arab countries and will reach the international refineries because of our creative plastic artists.

In turn, the head of the Union of Fine Artists, Muhammad Irfan Abu Al-Shamat, indicated that the importance of the annual autumn exhibition lies in the participation of a group of Syrian plastic artists from all governorates who presented works that show the development of our artistic experience and its possession of a special identity.

For his part, Director of the Directorate of Fine Arts, Imad Kashout, explained that the annual autumn exhibition is the most important Syrian artistic event, as it includes modern products by artists from all governorates with different styles and schools that satisfy the tastes of lovers of fine art, pointing out that there is a constant quest to raise the level of the exhibition from year to year.

The plastic artist, Adnan Hamida, participated through a work within the Silent Nature group, which he works on in an expressive style, approaching abstraction, choosing to modify the silent nature.

The sculptor Mamoun Al-Kurdi, who regularly participates in the Autumn Exhibition, presented an abstract sculpture made of apricot wood, pointing to the importance of participating in an exhibition that includes senior Syrian plastic artists.

The plastic artist, Mowaffaq Makhoul, chose a large work of his new works for this year, which includes spiritualities embodied by people and multiple human relationships, and he believes that the exhibition expresses the development of our plastic art, which has never stopped during the war years.

The participation of the young plastic artist Nour Al-Kawa came through a large plastic work embodied through a tree in the fall season, using harmonious colors in formulating the composition of her painting in an abstract style, pointing out that participating in the exhibition gains her an increase in experience by viewing the latest productions of Syrian artists.
