Alexis King, district attorney for Jefferson County, Colorado will ask the court to reduce the sentence of truck driver Rogel Aguilera-Mederos from 20 to 30 years in prison.
The 110-year prison sentence imposed on the young trucker continues to draw criticism and a petition was created on the change.org site for the sentence to be changed.
On Monday, December 27, there will be a new hearing to evaluate the case.
