With the aim of increasing the number of recipients of the anti-Coronavirus vaccine and expanding the segment of beneficiaries, the Ministry of Health today allocated mobile vaccine teams equipped with all vaccination requirements in front of a number of Damascus mosques to give the vaccine to worshipers after Friday prayers.

The Director of Damascus Health, Dr. Muhammad Samer Shahrour, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the teams’ tours included six mosques, namely the Umayyads in the old Levant, Abu al-Nur in Rukn al-Din, Abbad al-Rahman in Kafr Sousa, al-Othman in Maysat, Saad bin Muadh in al-Maliki, Hamza and al-Abbas in trade, stressing that the only solution to the end of the epidemic. It is to raise the percentage of recipients of the safe, effective, and freely available vaccine.

Shahrour indicated that the day was chosen because it is a holiday, in order to facilitate the citizens who cannot receive the vaccine during working days and to expand the number of beneficiaries.

In turn, Dr. Rami Nasrallah from the first health zone pointed out that this step comes to popularize the health culture by taking the vaccine to achieve individual and collective protection and to raise the percentage of people over the age of 18 who receive the vaccine to achieve health security in the community, indicating that the second dose of the vaccine will be given in the same place according to the specified date. Or through a health center, according to the desire of the person receiving the vaccine.

After receiving the vaccine in the Umayyad Mosque, Sheikh Muhammad Aref Al-Asali pointed out the importance of taking the vaccine from everyone, as it is necessary for a disease-free homeland.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Al-Beqai praised what the Ministry of Health is doing to provide the vaccine to everyone and protect them from diseases, pointing to the need to take the vaccine, as it is free and is considered a protection for people, members of their families and society.

In front of the Saad bin Muadh Mosque, Muhammad Nawaf Al-Mulla drew attention to the importance of sending mobile health teams to public places where there are a large number of people to provide medical consultations, especially those with chronic diseases, thus increasing the number of vaccine recipients, in addition to alleviating the suffering of going to health centers.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Health launched mobile teams two months ago to provide the vaccine to those wishing to work in ministries, government institutions, universities, and a number of public and private places that witness large gatherings, and it is continuing to do so.
