Washington, SANA- Two American airlines canceled hundreds of flights scheduled for Christmas Eve due to the recent rise in the number of passengers

Washington-Sana

Two US airlines have canceled hundreds of flights scheduled for Christmas Eve due to the recent surge in Omicron cases.

And Reuters reported that the two companies, “United Airlines and Delta Airlines”, canceled hundreds of flights due to the lack of air crew members and workers due to an increase in the infection with the Omicron mutator, as “Delta Airlines” canceled 138 flights, while 170 flights were canceled by “United Airlines.”

And the “Flight Aware” website revealed that global airlines have also canceled more than two thousand flights to date, which indicates the extent of the impact of the Corona virus and the Omicron mutant on vacation travel.

And many countries in the world have re-imposed partial or total closures or spatial distancing measures to counter the rapid spread of Omicron, which the World Health Organization has classified as worrying, and much is still unknown about it, including the severity of symptoms.
