One of the more unusual official duties of a US president is to talk to children on the phone on Christmas Eve, who watch them live as Santa Claus travels the world.

The route can be traced via the North American Aerospace Defense Command Santa Tracker.

Joe Biden and his wife Helen’s conversations with selected children were televised, as usual, live.

New Trump Movement Campaign: What's Behind That Weird Brandon Slogan By Roland Nelles, Washington

The US President surprised the audience when he was attacked by a father at the end of a conversation.

The man who called himself Jared said goodbye with the words: "Merry Christmas and Let's go Brandon!" The formula "Let's go Brandon" has been used by Biden's harshest critics since the beginning of October, including many supporters of ex-President Donald Trump.

It is a child-free clauses of the foul insult "Fuck Joe Biden".

Since the slogan has caught on on social media and Biden was vilified in public appearances with "Let's go Brandon" chants, the President should be aware of what Jared meant.

His reaction was all the more remarkable.

"Let's go Brandon, I agree," said Biden, apparently wanting to continue the conversation.

But Jared had already hung up.

What exactly Biden meant by his consent remained unclear.

As reported by the Reuters news agency, the White House has not yet responded to queries.
