The corona plague is once again breaking records around the world and despite efforts to curb the global morbidity wave, mainly due to the spread of the omicron variant, during the night (Thursday to Friday) a record was broken in the number of verified viruses diagnosed worldwide with close to a million new carriers.
According to a report on the worldometer website, over the past day, 973,256 new carriers of the corona virus have been diagnosed worldwide - the highest figure since the onset of the plague.
By comparison, the highest number of verifications measured so far was Tuesday, December 22, when 914,379 carriers of the virus were diagnosed.
The previous record for the number of verifications per day worldwide occurred on April 29 this year, when 904,091 people worldwide were diagnosed as positive for the virus.
At the same time, a number of additional morbidity records were broken during the past day in several countries.
France broke a morbid record last night, when 91,608 people were diagnosed as positive carriers for corona - the highest figure reported in the country since the outbreak of the plague.
The UK is also suffering from a significant morbidity wave.

Meanwhile, New York authorities reported that 38,835 people have been found to be carriers of the virus in the past day, which has become the day in which the largest number of people diagnosed so far have been diagnosed.
