Rise in morbidity: Cabinet approved new restrictions on malls and closed commercial complexes
In the shadow of the increase in morbidity, the ministers approved in a telephone poll a new operating plan, according to which the occupancy in the closed shopping complexes will be reduced to one person to 15 meters.
At the same time, the obligation to display a green sign was approved in the large stores within the malls as well as in the restaurants located within them.

Ministers today (Friday) approved the new mall layout. According to the outline, malls will operate in the format of a purple character, according to the occupancy ratio of one person every 15 meters. In addition, the expensive shops Entrance costs about 100 square meters will be allowed subject to display the green label, and food stalls seating will be allowed but only own collection. Green Label shall not apply to stores that provide essential services.
Below regulations as approved by the Cabinet:

• Entrance to stores with an area of more than 100 square meters will be allowed subject to the presentation of a green sign, both in open complexes and in malls and closed shopping complexes. The green label obligation will also apply to the employees in these stores.
• The food stalls in the malls will provide service to customers subject to the presentation of a green label, and will not allow seating but only self-collection.
• Entrance to restaurants located inside a mall will be allowed subject to the presentation of a green label, in accordance with the format currently used in restaurants.
- The green mark in malls and shopping complexes will not apply to places that provide essential services, as detailed below: a store for the sale of hygiene products (Pharm), an optician, a store for the sale of medical aids, a supermarket, a grocery store or a supermarket.
In these places, the current format will continue (purple character in an occupancy ratio of 1: 7).
The regulations will enter into force on Sunday, December 26, 2021, 22 Tevet, at midnight (the night between Sunday and Monday), subject to the approval of the Knesset's Constitution Committee.
