The Standing Committee of the 13th National People's Congress passed the decision to convene the Fifth Session of the 13th National People's Congress. The CPPCC National People's Congress and the National People's Congress will be held on March 4 and 5 next year, and the election method of deputies to the Hong Kong People's Congress has also changed.

The Standing Committee of the National People's Congress reviewed the "Measures for the Election of Delegates to the Fourteenth National People's Congress of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China (Draft)" and will be passed by the Congress.
National People’s Congress representative Tan Yaozong said that there is a slight difference between this election and the previous election: "The main reason is that the last election committee added many legislators and the NPC CPPCC who have retired. In the future, only the current election committee Members, 36 deputies to the People’s Congress of the Port District were elected."
The new election committee was born in September, with a total of 1,448 people. Tan Yaozong believes that it has been widely represented, and it is expected that the election of deputies to the National People's Congress will be particularly active.
The National Two Sessions will be held on March 4 and 5 next year. There are agendas for deliberation of the election method of the Hong Kong People’s Congress. The National Two Sessions are scheduled to hold a new Legislative Council in March next year.
