Tens of thousands of visitors visited the city of Nazareth today (Friday) in the evening, on the occasion of the traditional peace procession and fraternity of Christmas.

This, after last year Christmas events in the city were canceled due to the spread of the corona virus.

The 38th Christmas procession in the sign of peace and brotherhood took place along St. Paul VI Street in the city, and included fireworks firing over the Church of the Annunciation.

The mayor of Nazareth, Ali Salam, who came to the event, greeted the visitors and expressed hope for the continued momentum of tourism in the city.

Among those enjoying Christmas experiences in the city was Gilad, a regular officer who took advantage of the weekend vacation to visit Nazareth with his girlfriend.

"We enjoyed to reach the city of Nazareth, the experience was poor teaching," said Gilad, "I was glad to get to know another culture, colors, smells and tens of thousands of residents have given some sense of abroad."

Tal resident of Kiryat Tivon, visited also in Nazareth and enjoy the variety of events: "When "You can fly abroad - Nazareth was a worthy alternative. It was playful to see tens of thousands of celebrants enjoying the colors and flavors of the city, a fun and enjoyable holiday atmosphere."
