The “Würflmusi” brass band ensures a loud annual financial statement in ambush in Gelting.

The Kulturbühne has been holding concerts during the pandemic for almost two years.

Gelting - It got really tight on Sunday afternoon on the stage of the cellar restaurant on Leitenstrasse.

The brass music ensemble "Würflmusi", founded 15 years ago by the Bad Wiesse drummer Korbinian Heinziger and the Eurasburg trombonist Karl Stiller, moved in with a full team and a moderator.

Some of the musicians dressed in traditional Bavarian clothes played instruments that had been made in the Geretsried branch of the Buffet Crampon company.

Gerhard Meinl, a trained brass instrument maker and third mayor, had a particular need to personally announce the last ambush concert of the year.

"It is crucial that we also have rooms in Geretsried during this time for the appreciation of culture and art," he praised the venue.

Bohemian music, Christmas carols and polka: Various sounds can be heard in Ambush Gelting

Afterwards the march “Music, Music”, published by the Czech composer Frantiek Kmoch in 1881, as well as Bohemian-Moravian polka pieces were heard.

The high point in the meantime, however, was the varied interpretation of “Septemberregen” - a comparatively modern composition by Habach youth band director Markus Radiske.

Here the baritone of the Wolfratshauser Stadtkapelle conductor Reiner Jorde, the clarinet of Penzberg Roman Reis and the tuba of Kocheler's Kaspar Loipolder came into their own.

The ambush's Youtube channel shows live streams of all concerts

Of course, on the fourth Sunday in Advent, the Christmas jingle bells could not be missing in the repertoire.

With the loudly performed “Fuchsgrabenpolka”, the Würflmusi said goodbye to the ambush livestream punctually after 82 minutes.

Because the YouTube channel of the Kulturbühne was still needed on that day for the recording of the joint appearance of the Mixed Voices and the Gartenberger Bunkerblasmusik in the Geretsrieder Maria-Hilf-Kirche shortly afterwards.
