A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of randomly assaulting women in Tel Aviv
The young man, a resident of Jerusalem, was arrested after attacking a 55-year-old woman with no prior acquaintance.
After an investigation, police were able to link the suspect to three cases of women being assaulted in the city in the past week.
He will be brought before a judge for a hearing on the extension of his detention

Police arrested a 26-year-old Jerusalem resident yesterday (Friday) on suspicion of assaulting several women in the city last week.
Today the police will ask to extend his detention.
Police opened an investigation yesterday upon receiving a report of the assault of a 55-year-old woman by the young man on Marmorek Street in the city, with no prior acquaintance between the two.
Citizens who were at the scene assisted the complainant and detained the suspect until police arrived at the scene.
During the investigation, investigators from Lev Tel Aviv were able to link the suspect to three more assault incidents of women around the city last week. Tonight, the suspect will be brought to the Magistrate's Court in the city for a hearing to extend his detention.
