The Ministry of Transport has given the owners of electronic applications related to transporting passengers a deadline until the 16th of next January to complete their licensing procedures and arrange their conditions to work legally.
And the ministry indicated in a statement published on its website that this comes in response to the demands of the vehicle owners involved in working on electronic applications to transport passengers and to ensure that their rights are not lost and to continue providing this service to citizens.
The ministry pointed out that the procedures for completing obtaining the legal license and submitting all the required supporting documents are available to the concerned institutions and submitted easily and easily to be issued and submitted to the Ministry of Transport, which grants approval in less than 24 hours after submitting the required documents.
The ministry explained that granting legal licenses to make these applications comes within the executive instructions of Law No. 16 of 2021 allowing licensed companies and small and medium tourist cars to transport passengers according to the electronic application system.
Yesterday, the Communications and Postal Regulatory Authority called on the owners of unlicensed electronic applications specialized in transporting passengers to complete the required licenses to be allowed to operate.
