The Anti-Narcotics Branch in Homs arrested a drug peddler and confiscated a quantity of narcotics that were hidden in agricultural lands in the governorate's countryside.
The Ministry of Interior stated in a statement that the Anti-Narcotics Branch in Homs was able to arrest a person in the Armenian neighborhood and seized one kilogram and one hundred grams of hashish in seven cloth paws.
Based on the information available to the Anti-Narcotics Branch in Homs about the presence of a large amount of narcotics hidden within the agricultural lands in the countryside of the governorate, 55 kilograms of hashish and 150,000 Captagon pills were found, weighing twenty-four and a half kilograms.
The ministry pointed out that the narcotics were confiscated and investigations are still ongoing to uncover all those involved in the case to take the necessary legal measures against them.
