Yaakov Halperin, the CEO of the veteran chain and who served as the face of the company, is retiring after 33 years. Halperin announced this to the company's employees at the annual conference held for employees.
This means that Halperin will no longer have managerial authority, and he will officially hand over management to his six brothers.
However, he will continue to hold on to its shares.
Halperin: "I'm parting with Optica Halperin, and I no longer take any part in running the company. My six brothers remain board members. These days I hand over management and control to our elite team, and wish them lots of success. This concludes an amazing period."
